Pregnant and living in urmston?
I can help with that! Over the years, I’ve taught antenatal courses in Urmston to over a hundred couples, both privately and through my group hypnobirthing classes at The Toy House on Irlam Road in Flixton. I’ve now out grown this fantastic venue, but I do encourage you to visit once your baby arrives! My quest for a bigger venue has meant that I now teach from The Holiday Inn Express, Trafford City, just a 5 minute drive away, close to the Trafford Centre.
Urmston holds a special place in my heart as I not only live here, but have raised my young family here too! I know exactly what it’s like to be pregnant and experience antenatal care in the hands of local maternity services. Urmston really is a great place to live when you’re starting a family - why not start your birth preparation locally too with my group or private hypnobirthing antenatal courses?
Why Samantha Bevington Hypnobirthing?
You’ll find other hypnobirthing instructors around Greater Manchester. I pride myself on teaching a realistic, honest and evidence-based course.
For many years my tagline has been ‘Taking the hippie out of hypnobirthing’ - I am clear that hypnobirthing can help everyone, regardless of their other birth options and pain relief choices. Some want to use hypnobirthing strategies right til the end of their labour, others want to learn how to cope when there’s nothing else; at home in early labour, in the car on the way to the hospital and whilst waiting in triage or to be admitted into the labour room.
Many people choose to train as hypnobirthing instructors after experiencing a magical, perfect birth using the techniques. I did not, yet hypnobirthing helped me to cope and feel as though I’d had a positive experience. My course was therefore built upon coping when things don’t go to plan, rather than setting you up to fail with visions of perfection. With a local C-section rate of nearly 31%, it’s incredibly important to me to prepare you for any eventuality. This is why I offer free on-going support sessions for when things change and you need to re-think your birth plan.
I’m an associate member of The Royal College of Midwives and I frequently keep up to date with the latest policy changes across maternity units in the North West.
