small group or private hypnobirthing courses near worsley

Pregnant and living in worsley?

I can help with that! Over the years, I’ve taught antenatal courses in Worsley, having been invited into many homes to teach private sessions. These days, my one-day antenatal + hypnobirthing courses run from The Holiday Inn Express, Trafford City, next to The Trafford Centre. You’ll feel fully prepared for labour & birth, with evidence-based strategies for pain management and all of your questions answered. A tasty lunch is included…

I can still provide private sessions from your own home if you’d prefer to stay in lovely Worsley rather than venture a few stops round the M60. See Private Courses for details!

Why Samantha Bevington Hypnobirthing?

You’ll find other hypnobirthing instructors around Greater Manchester. I pride myself on teaching a realistic, honest and evidence-based course.

For many years my tagline has been ‘Taking the hippie out of hypnobirthing’ - I am clear that hypnobirthing can help everyone, regardless of their other birth options and pain relief choices. Some want to use hypnobirthing strategies right til the end of their labour, others want to learn how to cope when there’s nothing else; at home in early labour, in the car on the way to the hospital and whilst waiting in triage or to be admitted into the labour room.

Many people choose to train as hypnobirthing instructors after experiencing a magical, perfect birth using the techniques. I did not, yet hypnobirthing helped me to cope and feel as though I’d had a positive experience. My course was therefore built upon coping when things don’t go to plan, rather than setting you up to fail with visions of perfection. With a local C-section rate of nearly 31%, it’s incredibly important to me to prepare you for any eventuality. This is why I offer free on-going support sessions for when things change and you need to re-think your birth plan.

I’m an associate member of The Royal College of Midwives and I frequently keep up to date with the latest policy changes across maternity units in the North West.

Don’t just take my word for it…

I was extremely anxious and felt underprepared for birth going into the classes with Sam. What a difference 4 weeks can make! Her knowledge, calming manner and completely realistic approach to birth has left me feeling ready for anything the day may bring.

My husband was so skeptical before we went but he absolutely loved the science and fact based approach, he is a total convert. I wish everyone could experience this before birth.

I have to say that as a birthing partner I felt by the end of the course that I was confident I could support my daughter emotionally and ensure that her birth plan choices were carried out according to her wishes.

Although in the end my daughter was unable to have the natural water birth that she had planned, she still found the techniques learned in Sam’s course invaluable. She was able to overcome her disappointment at having to have a last minute C Section and by remaining calm through breathing and relaxation she was able to stay in control of the process and enjoy the birthing experience fully with no anxiety!

I would recommend Sam’s classes to every expectant mum.

My wife and I have just finished our Hypnobirthing classes with Sam. I must admit I had preconceived notions of what Hypnobirthing was and didn’t think it would be for me, but wanted to be a supportive partner.

Sam’s science lead approach dispelled all of my concerns and we both got so much out of the course. From practical information about the mechanics of birth to dealing with the unexpected and everything in between.

I couldn’t recommend Sam enough and I’ve even used some of the relaxation techniques to help prepare for important meetings at work
